Day 121 of 365
“Inches of Rain”
The rain was something to behold today. Several events were cancelled thank the Lord. Then others went on without incident. I am thankful for the rain; however, getting more than 7 inches at once can be a bit disconcerting.
We had the closets set up for us to gather in case the weather took a turn for more interesting events. Our sons made sure we had books in there to read. I was concerned about having water and snacks. I had purchased a radio that operates on battery, solar and the old fashioned hand crank. It also had a phone charger, siren and light. The boys took turns cranking it. It will perhaps be charged for several days after their rather robust effort.
The closets did not get any use and the rain subsided. We are in prayer for anyone that lost a loved one or any tangible goods. We will be taking part in our son’s Boy Scout troop service project to help those in need. If you know of anyone, get a group together to assist in creating an avenue for them to be whole once again.
We all want to know that someone will come to our aid in a time of need. You be the angel of mercy for someone. There may come a time you need a helping hand also.
