“There’s a Father in the House”
Not having the benefit of a father in the house while I was growing up, I am excited that God has given my children the blessing of having a father in the house. Our days are much better when Daddy is home. The boys especially have a great time showing their dad what they can do.
I am just thankful that they have an awesome role model to see everyday in their house. Although they understand that dad leaves to go to work so that we can sustain what we have been given, they are more excited to see him come home. It is a sight to behold to watch the little ones run down the steps, grab their dad’s legs and yell “Daddy!!!”
So to every family that has the wonderful benefit of a father in the house, give him a great big hug. Take it from one that did not have this honor. It means something. It is not always easy to express what I feel I was not able to gain from this missing link, but it feels as though there was so much more to be learned.
So here’s to all the dads out their doing their thing to keep the family unit as the Lord wants it.
