Day 25 of 365 "Television" |

“Television”
All I wanted to do was to watch a little television to relax. So I flipped through the channels, hoping I could find something decent to watch. You know, something kind of light hearted and cute.
I have come to the conclusion that those things are very rare on the tube these days. It seemed as though I was bombarded by profanity, fornication and other behavior I do not agree with where ever I turned. I have come to the conclusion that I am not old enough to watch television nowadays.
I jut want to see something that does not create a talking point with my children. Something all of us can laugh at and get the joke. Preferably a show about families that my three small ones can watch and find funny. Even animated comedy targeted toward our children seems to have adult overtones.
Something like a 21st century “Leave it to Beaver” or “Andy Griffith”. I know you are laughing but I am talking about some true family oriented entertainment. Perhaps I am just showing my age and all of this is silly. All I know is I want to be entertained. I do not want to be shocked, bribed, cursed at or see anyone naked.
Just some good ole tv. Like it was when television went off. Remember the plane flying overhead, the flag waving and the national anthem played…then snow.
