"Hard Work"
My mother used to say, as I am sure yours did, "Hard work never hurt nobody." Well today I must say my mother was correct.
I woke up, dropped everyone at school. Worked the Book Fair for the fourth day, all day. Rushed home, ate and returned back to the school to work the Fair that night. It was a blast.
The librarian had readers, cookies and milk, free books and the Fair. My sons had a wonderful time. My husband had to attend because the boys also had Cub Scouts that night. So we went our separate ways at about 5:45pm.
The parents of the children at the school were wonderful. There were long lines and it was hot. They did not complain. They understood that each volunteer was doing their best to get them out. I was very grateful for their understanding.
Those parents showed those wonderful children patience and grace under fire. I am sure they wanted to vent, however they held it to themselves. If I could I would send each of them a hug!!
The weather is doing exactly what the weather man said. I suppose the school will be closed.
I am sleeping in!!
