Day 33 "Quick, Fast and in a Hurry"

“Quick, Fast and in a Hurry”

These days we want to have our challenges alleviated “quick, fast and in a hurry”. I have heard several commercials to have a hypnotist assist you with smoking and weight challenges. We have a slew of psychic hotlines. The lottery is spreading across the country.

Now don’t get me wrong, if I had the extra money I would also be playing the lottery to pay down our debt. Perhaps if I had the other challenges I would be tempted to try the quick things. There are some people that really need this help.

Then there are those of us that really should be about the business of doing our part to deal with our challenges. If you are having a money challenge, first look at what you are spending and how you are spending it. Each of us could possibly have the solution to our issues in our hands and do not have to pay someone to help us.

We want to just read a book and have our relationships “fixed”. We want this to happen without us having to change, pray or even sometimes fast. We have gotten so used to the fast food, we want the rest of our lives to be “fast”.

All I am saying is: Sometimes you are your own doctor, therapist and banker. Let us look at ourselves and see what we can do to improve. Attempting to do better is never an easy task, however the decision to begin can be simple.

So let us stop looking externally when we could do an internal inventory and help ourselves. Then if you cannot figure it out: Get Help!! Godly Help!!
