Day 39 of 365
“Snow Day (Again)”
The weather man said that there would be some interesting weather later this week. Imagine our surprise when my mother in law knocked on the door to say that school was cancelled. Charles asked why. His mom told us to look out the window. Snow was falling and falling hard. Huge flakes. It was beautiful.
It was beautiful until I realized that Charles would have to be driving in it. He left the house really early and got to work so late. It took an hour and a half for a drive that is usually forty five minutes. He arrived safely. Hallelujah.
The boys went outside. They built forts. Made snow angels. Threw snowballs. Basically they had a blast. I tried to take pictures. It was too cold. I gave up.
Boys will make a competition out of anything. It was hilarious. I love our children. They took care of the small boys right after they pounded them with snow. The little ones had a ball.
This storm reminded me of life. You know something is coming and if it shows up early it takes a moment to adjust. So much like this snow day….just adjust.
