"Brunch for Couples"
The day was tinally here for one of my favorite days of the year. Our annual Married Couples Brunch. This event usually brings several couples together to eat well, talk about things that matter and leave encouraged about this thing we call marriage.
Today was no exception. We had several couples to come and share their time with us. Our daughters were there to serve as hostesses and the greeters. What an awesome job they did. The food was wonderful. Moma Shirley prepared the best chicken salad and received rave reviews. I am thinking we need to put that item up for sale.
The book we discussed was the "Five Love Languages". The couples expressed the benefits of having such a discussion. Not that any relationship was in trouble, it was just a tribute to relationships that they could come together and grow.
The parting bags were stuffed with chocolate, bookmarks, books of encouragement and heart lollipops. It was awesome.
