Day 60 of 365
"Almost 44"
March 5 is my birthday. I will be 44 years old. It has been great to be in my 40's. You know it is past those very interesting teen years, through my 20's when I was in college and had a great time, and into my 30's when I realized that time was passing faster than I thought.
40 has been a great decade so far because I am now rearing my children and I really like them. Charles and I are in a great position in our acquisition of "things" that our family needs. Jesus is the center of our lives and being obedient to His will is not as much of a "chore" as it was when I really did not have a relationship with Him.
At this age, I find myself attempting to gain more knowledge and wisdom about this world so our children will be prepared for a global existence. Also keeping them in the ways of the Lord has proven to get more and more challenging. The world is such an enticing place that now I know it is up to me to be sure my children are maturing in the manner taht I feel is pleasing with the LOrd.
Also at this point in my life I am loving my mother, Lois Bernice Miller, even more. She went to her resting place almost six years ago. It was an event that changed my life for sure. Her passing was so peaceful and Christ filled that it amazed me. At that moment I had a stronger resolve to live for Christ so that my children will call me blessed as I now do my mom.
This year Charles and I will be married for 21 years and it has been an awesome adventure. We have had ups and downs but we have learned to not allow deep valleys and high mountians. We have undulating hills and valleys.
I am excited about 44 and the rest of my life now that I know my purpose during these years. One, to be a soldier for Christ on the battlefield and not sitting on the sidelines. Growing the Kingdom. Second, rear my children in the love of Christ and love my husband to the best of my ability.
The joy of the Lord is my strength and I know that Jesus is pleased when I obey His commandments.
Its doing to be a great year!!!
