“Mother’s Birthday”
Today is my mother’s birthday. March 7, 1932 she was born into this world and I am glad about it. Mom passed away almost six years ago but her memory lives on. I am such a blessed woman to have had her as my mother.
The Lord truly knows when you should be born and to whom. Mom was a dynamo. Fighting for those less fortunate than others. Holding up the blood stained banner for Christ. Rearing eight children alone. Running for political office and then deciding she would be more effective not in office. The list could go on…
The lesson she really taught me is: Know your place. What you are fighting for and believing in could be better realized if you were on the field and not leading the charge all of the time.
Mom, you are missed but your strength lives on in all of the lives you touched.
My mom: and her children shall call her blessed!! Blessed woman.
