One thing I have come to realize about my marriage is that I choose daily to be in it. There are no back doors, no side doors and no hidden entry ways. So many married couples are not closing the doors, locking them and then choosing daily to allow them to remain that way.

Once you have put these “exits” in their proper perspective then the Lord can begin to work with you to find the purpose of your union. We are called to:

2 Corinthians 10:5 (King James Version)

 ^“Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”

This would include all ideas we may have to come against our relationship if we believe that God has joined us. If during your prayer time, the Lord has caused you to realize that the one you are married to is the one He wants you to be with then this could be for you. Stop trying to allow the marriage to fail by not doing anything to prevent its failure. Sometimes we decide not to make a decision; in this one act alone you have made a decision. You have decided to remain indecisive. Therefore you are in limbo. You could stay or you could go. You have mentally made preparations either way.

So make a Godly decision and move.  Move to a definite yes or no in the relationship, do not hide in maybe. Allow your obedience to Christ to lead and guide you in all your ways, even in your marriage. We pray for and about everything, let’s pray for the Lord to give answers and, you, enough strength to follow through with His plan. Your marriage belongs to God as does your life, so let God be God!!
