Loving Our Men
"On this Men’s Day I have been given the opportunity to speak
on “Loving our Men”.
I know that this is Men’s Day, however I want to speak to
the women right now…
I count it joy to be a part of the body of Christ. Christ
who is my:
Friend
Intercessor
Provider
Protector
Shield
Present
help in time of trouble
Comforter
Confidante
He who
sticks closer than a brother
Keeper
Has He been any of these things to any of you ladies?
Now ladies we have the privilege to think about our husbands
in the same way. The word says in Ephesians 5:23 that as Christ is the head of
the church so is man the head of his household.
Husbands as you walk with Christ allowing Him to become an
intimate part of your life the reflection of Christ becomes clearer as you look
in your mirror.Just think your eyes,
God’s mirror and Jesus’ reflection.
Each of us understands this is an individual walk. We may
run as a team but we all cross this line individually. We must love and uplift
and pray and support our men.
Our men are looking for acknowledgement, support,
encouragement, love and respect.
Remember that Paul planted, Apollos watered and God gave the
increase. We trust God for the increase in our men’s walk with Christ. Women,
we must water our husbands with adoration, encouragement, respect,
appreciation, support, love, and anything else he made need. As the man of God
plants and we begin to water, the Lord will increase everything our husbands
need to move forward in the Kingdom
of God.
Men you have seen how you wives responded to the attributes
of Christ…as you remember that as Christ is the head of the church so are you
the head of your household…Your wife has the opportunity to think of you in
some of those same ways… evoking some of the same types of emotions she has for
Christ…while she knows and understands that Christ is the head of her
life...she has the opportunity to follow you as you follow Christ….
When the foundation of any relationship is Christ, love can
be found."
