One thing I have come to realize about my marriage is that I
choose daily to be in it. There are no back doors, no side doors and no hidden
entry ways. So many married couples are not closing the doors, locking
them and then choosing daily to allow them to remain that way.
Once you have put these “exits” in their proper perspective

The Stones of My Past, Some Break Some Build, I Choose |
We must understand the stones of our past. However Good or Bad, we stand upon those experiences. So it is not a question of will you stand but how will you Stand? The past can become a trap, sabotaging relationships, wrecking emotions, and manipulating lives. Every past experience has the potential to propel, stay or destroy our present and future. We have the life opportunity to decide how we will...

A Transforming View of Women |
While watching Transformers 2, I was distributed by the differences
between the first and the sequel. There was a level of violence in the
first but the level of depicted death & violence was greater in the
sequel. There was an implied level of sensuality in the first but an
overt level of depicted sexuality in the sequel. The level of
profanity in the PG-13 sequel made me wonder what level of language 13
years olds are accustomed to hearing or, even more frighting, using.
The courage displayed by the heroin in the sequel was overshadowed by
the sexual commodity she was cast as. The movie is but an example of
the perceived respect and worth that women...

What a wonderful day for reflection. It is a day many of us
spend cooking, waiting for someone to finish cooking or eating whatever was
cooked. After a remarkable meal, we sit around as a family to talk or to play
games. Some may watch the game that is on for the day. It is truly a day for
families to get together to reflect and to perhaps even make plans for the next
year.

Can a Christian Go 12 rounds for what they believe in? |
Several months ago, we observed Rick Warren appear to backup on his stance on
homosexual marriage. I asked in another forum, “Can a Christian go 12
Rounds for what they believe in, or do they show good for 3 and then
can’t Answer the Bell?”
Whether you agree with a person or not, you have to admire anyone who
is willing to stand up for what they believe in against all odds. When
they have the courage, belief and convictions to stand and stand
steadfastly no matter...

As we all begin to have mouthwatering experiences around the dinner table in the next few weeks, let us not forget what we should truly be thankful for… Jesus. There have been many times I have been reflecting on what I should be thankful for over the past few years and I have neglected this particular thanks until after I have thanked Him for giving me everything else.

What expectations do you have for your marriage? This is a question
that seems to ambush couples after their wedding vows have been taken
and they are attempting to be married. The questions appears to bring
about a feeling that there is something missing from the marriage...

Framed by the Consistution? |
Two young men seen as disposable by those who were sworn to uphold the
law, guard the citizens of their state, the ideals of our nation's
Constitution and the consciousness of humanity have arguably abdicated
their role as prosecutors. These two young men of questionable past were
falsely accused and with malic...

"Thank You Lord!" Shout Out |
This year has proven to be one that has tried some of us and
proven us faithful in a few things. To learn to share our testimony
with others
is an awesome lesson. There may be someone going through what you just
went
through. Oftentimes all we really need is a kind word, an...
