Day 113 of 365 "More Trees and Baseball" |
|
Today Honey planted three more trees and the placement was awesome. I
spent the day with the little ones in the pool and riding the carousel.
We had an awesome time.

Day 112 of 365 "Planting Trees" |
|
We have tried our hand at landscaping our yard and that would include
planting trees. This particular job has been quite mindboggling to us.
We had the tendency to plant the trees too deep on our first try. Then
we perhaps planted a couple too shallow. In total we have lost about
four of the trees that we have bought.

Day 111 of 365 "Flames that Destroy" |
|
Our daughter called us in a panic to say that her apartment was on fire
early this morning. My husband dressed so quickly I had not time to
process what was going on. As we continued to listen we found out that
she had gotten out safely. Although she only had the clothes on her back
and her purse and phone.

Day 110 of 365 "Vehicles you Own" |
|
This weekend has us down to one vehicle again and it can be interesting.
Having two cars has become almost a necessity in today’s society. I
remember my mother buying a car for less than $2000 and it was
practically new. Cars are costing even more although the do have so many
more options.

Day 109 of 365 "Obedience" |
|
Today was a day for pondering. Pondering what was next for the Watkins
clan. Usually when I have one of these days the Lord really wants me to
pray for direction. So as I talked to the Lord today that is exactly
what I did.

Day 106-108 of 365 "Campout" |
|
This weekend was the Webelos encampment. My son had a great
time with the other scouts and his parents. We arrived a little late and
had to
pitch our tent in the dark. The lights on your vehicle have so many
uses.

Day 105 of 365 "Cake Auction" |
|
It is amazing what adults will do in order to allow our children to have
adventure. Tonight was our Cub Scout Cake Auction to raise money for
our Pack. The children had a grand time decorating our scout themed
cake. They had an even better time learning about auctions and how they
were run. Not that we are experts by any means.

Day 104 of 365 "“Enjoying Your Wage Earning Opportunities” |
While in my twenties I was told the difference between occupation and
vocation. One is what you have to do and the other is what you love to
do, to give the jest of what I was told. If you happen to get paid for
what you love to do then you are a part of the fortunate few.

Day 103 of 365 "Glucose Testing and Bonding" |
|
Today I went to the doctor with our daughter to be with her during that
three hour testing most pregnant women would rather avoid; the glucose
test. She chose the orange flavor. I tended to choose the grape flavor
when I was pregnant with our children. She felt that there was no
redeeming quality to the drink other than it was cold.
