Day 172 of 365 "A Blessing" |
Women, have you ever looked at, thought about or pondered how much power it takes to be a man with a family? Especially when that man is out there doing whatever it takes to provide for said family. When he is up at night trying to get further ahead because he wants so much for his family? The times he has been dog tired and still finds the strength to play with the kids, mow the lawn and read the bedtime story?

Day 171 of 365 "There's a Father in the House" |
Not having the benefit of a father in the house while I was growing up, I am excited that God has given my children the blessing of having a father in the house. Our days are much better when Daddy is home. The boys especially have a great time showing their dad what they can do.

Day 170 of 365 "Homecoming" |
Today Honey and Jr. will arrive back at home. I have to make it to the store to pick up his birthday cake and gift. Then I remembered that tomorrow is Father’s Day. What do you get the guy that gives so much of himself to his family? I was in a quandary.

Day 165-169 of 365 "Day Camp" |
I am here to report that I made it through five days of Cub Scout Day Camp! I can also report I have never been hotter, more tired or happier while outside. This was an amazing adventure for me and our scouts. Our boys were wonderful and wanted to experience everything.

Day 164 of 365 "A Day of Rest" |
Yesterday while my daughter was going home, I was at training for Cub Scouts. I now know how to make doughnuts while at a campout. They were delicious and I cannot wait to share with the Scouts. I also sent Honey and our older son to Boy Scout Camp. That was an adventure of making a list and checking it twice. We prayed and they began their journey.

Days 159-163 of 365 "Becoming a Grandma" |
Today was the beginning of my transition to grandmother. This was my daughter’s last doctor’s appointment because she is being induced in the morning. She is prepared and ready. You ladies know how you feel when your due date is close. You are ready to have the baby and if anyone says different you seem to melt into tears. That was Tuesday.

Day 158 of 365 "The Family Dollar" |
After having children, we realized that many of the things we hoped for or wanted began to change. The one truth I embraced was that now we have other people who are dependent on us, we must put aside a lot of things for the better of our family. What things do you ask?

Day 157 of 365 "Black Memphis" |
This is excerpts of an article I received in my inbox. Not often do I post the sayings of someone else. However, this article struck a cord with me personally. Sharing it was not even a question. I have also shared it on a social network site. When I came back across it, I had to post it on our site. This is a wakeup call!! What are we going to do about this! Black people the ball is in our court! Wake Up!

Day 156 of 365 "Glass Houses" |
Last month I heard the phrase, “People live in glass houses.” This phrase came from a group which included several Christians. Christians who profess a hope in Christ when I spoke with them. I was struck by the saying because I could not figure out what it was really talking about.
