Day 149 of 365 "God Bless America" |
|
The fallen heroes of our country have put themselves in harms way to protect our freedoms and the freedom of others. I am very proud to have family members that have represented several branches of the armed services. It is an awesome and very appreciated sacrifice

Days 137 - 148 of 365 "Vacation" |
|
These particular days were filled with getting ready for, having fun and
recuperating from my sibling family vacation. It took me forever to
pack due to not really knowing what the weather was going to do. The
policy of paying for checked bags has definitely changed how we travel. I
am going to have to learn how to pack better or learn to ship what I
want and pack what I need. It was hilarious packing for this trip.
However, we got it done.

We went to church today and had an awesome time. The children actually
wanted to take their Bibles. Before it was like pulling teeth to get
them to take them. Signs of improvement.

Day 135 of 365 "Grasshopper Social" |
|
Today was a full and active day. I was scheduled to speak in Jackson TN
and to be at the advancement activity for the Cub scouts on the same day
and near the same time. The event in Jackson was awesome. The food was
savory. The young people were attentive and very gracious hosts. I had a
great time with them and I pray something I said took them further down
the road to knowing God.

Day 134 of 365 "Preparing to Speak" |
|
Tomorrow I have the great opportunity to speak to a wonderful group of
children. Speaking has always been a wonderful opportunity to share with
others. Having something to say to children that will impact their
lives is often times difficult. What could one middle aged woman say to
Christian children that would leave them better informed than when they
came in?

Day 133 of 365 "Last Den Meeting" |
|
This is a kind of sad day. It is the last den meeting of the school
year. Our family has definitely become a scouting family. Many of my
days reflections revolve around scouting. It has been a grand adventure.

Day 132 of 365 "Doctor Appointments" |
|
This is the day I take kids to the doctor. We love our pediatrician. He
has taken care of our children for almost 11 years. He is a part of our
family. I love that he knows our children and what their individual
personalities require for them to have an awesome experience with him
and his assistants. Our children love him and feel very comfortable
around him.

|
We all know what they are. They are the actions we must take to survive.
They were the things we dreamed about at 16 and want to retire from
while we can still look great in shorts while on vacation on the beach
away from the cares of the world with no cell phones or schedules no
dressing up unless you just feel like it and no waking up until you have
had enough rest. Oh let me stop daydreaming. (smile)

Day 130 of 365 "Commitments" |
|
This week promises to be a busy one. There are doctor appointments,
scouts and events to attend. Commitments are what adults put on their
schedules with a prayer that at most will be completed. The attempt will
be to follow through and make all of it happen.
