Day 43 of 365 "The Olympics" |
|
One of my favorite times of the year is here, the Olympics. Amazing athletes from across the globe will come together to show their stamina and determination. I love the Olympics and have loved them since the 1980’s.
However one of my favorite sports is Curling. I did not know a thing about this sport until the last Olympics. I watched as the swept the ice with a “squeegee”. Amazing. So I decided to go to the Vancouver 2010 website and get more information on this sport. I will share the information with other Curling fans.

Time the one thing we cannot get back. Perhaps we should use it wisely.
How are you spending your time? Do you find yourself in front of the
television instead of doing something?

Day 41 of 365 "Quotes from Abraham Lincoln" |
Read, Reflect and Internalize if need be.
1. A house divided against itself cannot stand.
2. All I am, or can be, I owe to my angel mother.

There have been so many articles and books written on love. If you
search this website you will find several articles addressing this
emotion, feeling, state of being, concept or whatever else you would
like to name it. The one thing I have come to realize is that only you
can explain what it means to you.

Day 39 of 365 "Snow Day (Again)" |
|
The weather man said that there would be some interesting weather later
this week. Imagine our surprise when my mother in law knocked on the
door to say that school was cancelled. Charles asked why. His mom told
us to look out the window. Snow was falling and falling hard. Huge
flakes. It was beautiful.

Day 38 of 365 "Pancake Breakfast" |
Up early, boys in Cub scouts uniforms and everyone else dressed to
leave the house at 5am. Well we made it out of the house at 5:15am. 15
minutes, a record for us. It was awesome.

Arguably his best-remembered work is the poem "Invictus", written in
1875. It is said that this was written as a demonstration of his
resilience following the amputation of his foot due to tubercular
infection.

Sitting here remembering meeting Charles at McCord hall, birthing the
children and even the cruise we took four years ago. Precious things,
memories. We should make more of them.

|
I was reading through some notes Charles had taken during a business
meeting years ago. It is amazing when the Lord takes you back to
something you were told years ago and now it makes even more sense.
