Day 28 of 365 "Hard Work" |

My mother used to say, as I am sure yours did, "Hard work never hurt nobody." Well today I must say my mother was correct.
I woke up, dropped everyone at school. Worked the Book Fair for the fourth day, all day. Rushed home, ate and returned back to the school to work the Fair that night. It was a blast.

So there is bad weather heading this way. I have done my due diligence and gotten the milk and eggs needed to see us through. I even put gas in the truck in case power goes out and the station close to the house is no help.

Day 26 of 365 "Unforgiveness" |

Pray without ceasing. Prayer warriors. Prayer changes things. Let us pray. The Lord’s prayer. Jesus prayed.

 You will realize that is does not take long to loose your focus. It is
much like missing the exit on the roadway. It only take a second of
Broken Focus to find yourself off track, off course and lost. It can,
sometimes, be difficult to tell the wrong road from...

"Goals, Plans and Focus"
Today I was out and about attempting to get some of the shopping done before the school year and work week began again. There were so many people out and I decided not to go to one of the stores on my list. However, after purchasing from two of them, I realized that the Christmas spirit had left as quickly as it began.

Day 1 of 365 "Begin Alive" |

"Being Alive"
Today I awoke and all of my family was alive and well. Blessing. Then I realized that I too was alive and well. Blessing. Then I realized that God did not have to do it but did. Blessing.

 This is the last day of 2009. The end of one decade and the
beginning of another. I have been giving much thought to what should be said on
a day like today. So much has occurred. Technology has increased the speed of
knowledge and information. Wow what a decade!!

Watch Service Leading up to 2010 |
 I can recall when I was younger my mother used to say that whatever you were doing on January 1 would be a reflection of what your year would be. So I took that to heart and made sure I could be found at a Watch Service at someone’s church. This has been a mainstay in my family’s life since our first son. So it has been the thing we do for the last 15 years.

2010 Resolution or Transformation? |

 As I
thought about the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010, I was reminded
that millions of us would be making resolutions. Resolutions normally
include items like: to lose weight, go back to school, talk to that
family member that has been cut from our communication circle or
perhaps even to read the Bible more. Each and every one of these items
is a noble cause...
