Day 118 of 365 "Excitement" |
|
I was sitting around trying to figure out what excites me and I came to the conclusion that my tastes have changed. Excitement has a different meaning for me now. It has changed drastically since the wonderful age of 20.

This day gets a huge amount of bad press. No one seems to look forward to Mondays. Usually it begins a work week and none of us really feel like getting out of our warm beds to go to work. The children know that this day will bring less TV, no video games and being reminded of the early bedtime for the next few nights.

Day 115 of 365 "When Sunday Comes" |
|
We did not make it to church today. The car is having challenges and needs some work done. This was a great day and we had a wonderful time at home with the children and the car.

Most of my memories of rain are great. I grew up with a screened front porch that had a swing and a tin roof. On the days we would get that gentle rain, I would grab a pillow and blanket to lay on the swing and enjoy the sounds. Those wonderful sounds of the rain hitting that tin roof, the leaves of the pecan tree and the fan that would be running in the next room. Wonderful!

Day 113 of 365 "More Trees and Baseball" |
|
Today Honey planted three more trees and the placement was awesome. I
spent the day with the little ones in the pool and riding the carousel.
We had an awesome time.

Day 112 of 365 "Planting Trees" |
|
We have tried our hand at landscaping our yard and that would include
planting trees. This particular job has been quite mindboggling to us.
We had the tendency to plant the trees too deep on our first try. Then
we perhaps planted a couple too shallow. In total we have lost about
four of the trees that we have bought.

Day 111 of 365 "Flames that Destroy" |
|
Our daughter called us in a panic to say that her apartment was on fire
early this morning. My husband dressed so quickly I had not time to
process what was going on. As we continued to listen we found out that
she had gotten out safely. Although she only had the clothes on her back
and her purse and phone.

Day 110 of 365 "Vehicles you Own" |
|
This weekend has us down to one vehicle again and it can be interesting.
Having two cars has become almost a necessity in today’s society. I
remember my mother buying a car for less than $2000 and it was
practically new. Cars are costing even more although the do have so many
more options.
