Day 238 of 365 "NEXT!?"
Do you remember the day you completed all you needed to accomplish in order to move on to the next adventure in your life? I am not talking about your graduation day but the moment you knew you had finished? It was a momentous time and also a time of indecision. I remember thinking, “OK, what now?”

Day 237 of 365 "Word Power"
Our son is in the 11th grade and is in AP English. One of the books we had to purchase for him is Fiske Word Power by Edward B. Fiske. This has been one of the most difficult books in the world to purchase. I had gone to every book store in my vicinity (four) and none of them could keep this book on the shelf. I asked each store if they were given a warning of the necessity of the book by the teacher and the answer was no. This was odd to me because it would have only taken a phone call to get that job done. However, after my initial agitation, I realized that there were perhaps not enough students to warrant such a call. I had to place an order and was told it would be back in 3-5 business days and instead it took 9 days. OK! So now we have the book and it is awesome.

Day 236 of 365 "Just Thinking"
As I was dropping our eldest son off at school I began to look at the children that were entering the school. I believe I am using the term children in error sometimes when I speak of the youth of today. They have experienced more at the age of 15 than I did by the time I was 21. Now I know that some will say that these are different times and I would agree to some degree. I believe that children want to be children much longer than we allow them to be these days.

Day 235 of 365 "Memories"
Today was a busy day, however, going swimming with the Scout troop was totally awesome. That is what my boys said all the way home. It was a long day for them, but it was a blast. I have enjoyed  our children so much over the summer that I feel that school has spoiled our fun. Perhaps we have created some memories that they will be able to sit around the table as adults and laugh about.

Day 234 of 365 "Say Hello"
Am I the only one that notices that all across this nation no one says, “Hello”? Such a simple word that can lift someone's spirit and let them know that they exist in this world. These days all we do is attempt to avoid each other's eyes. Isn't that something? Avoiding looking at each other.
