Day 157 of 365 "Black Memphis"

This is excerpts of an article I received in my inbox. Not often do I post the sayings of someone else. However, this article struck a cord with me personally. Sharing it was not even a question. I have also shared it on a social network site. When I came back across it, I had to post it on our site. This is a wakeup call!! What are we going to do about this! Black people the ball is in our court! Wake Up!

Day 156 of 365 "Glass Houses"

Last month I heard the phrase, “People live in glass houses.” This phrase came from a group which included several Christians. Christians who profess a hope in Christ when I spoke with them. I was struck by the saying because I could not figure out what it was really talking about.

Day 155 of 365 "Speechless"
This is how I find some Christians today. We allow the world to convince us that our faith is not worth fighting for. The world tells us we are wrong and we cower. We cower from the defending of our faith and the love Jesus showed toward us by dying on a cross.

Day 154 of 365 "It's Our Anniversary"

There are so many emotions as I wake up today. It was 21 years ago that God gave me the awesome man I am sending off to work today. There have been ups and downs. Each one has been a growing moment for our relationship. We have had disappointments and made horrible decisions that we at times look at each other and say, “What were we thinking?!” Through it all I can say that when we learned to give it to the Lord, things began to be better.

Day 153 of 365 "Grocery Shopping for Summer"

School is a saving grace for a lot of reasons. One of them is that the children take with them a wonderful hot breakfast in the morning and on several days take a great lunch. Lunch costs about $1.25 per child and serves to get them in the truck after school. At that time we have a snack and something to drink. This snack will tide them over until a well balanced dinner.
