2010 Resolution or Transformation? |
|
As I
thought about the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010, I was reminded
that millions of us would be making resolutions. Resolutions normally
include items like: to lose weight, go back to school, talk to that
family member that has been cut from our communication circle or
perhaps even to read the Bible more. Each and every one of these items
is a noble cause.
The
question I had was, “Why don’t we stick to them?” One answer could be
that we as Christians did not pray to ask God what we need to be
working on. We all should be about our Father’s business. I have come
to realize that when I am about the Father’s business he takes care of
His business thereby taking care of me.
The one
resolution many Christians are called to make is to not make a
resolution. We need to make a decision to allow the Lord to begin the
process of Transformation in our lives. Once we allow Him to lead us
though this arduous journey, the hills and valleys will be less
cumbersome because we will know He is leading.
So let the Transforming begin in 2010.
