From Defeat, Through Survival to Victory
Survival is necessary but is not final. It is not the end of the road but the beginning of restoration, the stage of transition that can provide a platform for change or a prison of frustration.
We need to make sure that we do not confuse survival with victory. The landscape of survival can seem so much greater than defeat, that oftentimes we miss our true victory in the Lord. The struggle; in, through and beyond defeat, can leave us exhausted in the place of survival.
Survive means to remain alive or in existence, to carry on despite hardships or trauma: persevere, or to remain functional or usable.
Survival is not victory. Survival will always lead to a life of complacency while victory will lead to a life of excellence. It can offer a feeling of false accomplishment because we can always look at others who have been defeated and relax in our illusion of total victory.
If there is no forward motion in what you say, then you are in reverse. Be careful when your survival looks like victory to everyone else.
We fight the fight of advancement, not defeat or simple survuval. But, we have to think, move, live, act, embrace, withstand and endure to the victory of God.
This achievemnt to excellence allows us to fulfill the destiny that will impact the Kingdom of God, shake the foundation of Hell and bring the world the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.
