Praying Wives Circle (May 16, 2009)

For this session we focused on wisdom and understanding about the financial state of our families. We prayed in particular for our husbands to understand the will of the Lord.

Proverbs 31:10-11

"Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her: So he will have no lack of gain."

We pray that as wives we are able to provide a path for our husbands to trust us. We pray that we are able to assist them in the gaining and managing of the finances. We know that if he trusts us then he will be in a position to gain even more.

Proverbs 16:9

"The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps."

We pray that our husbands will understand that the Lord will direct them, however, they have to carry out the plan.

Psalm 20:4

"May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed."

We pray that our husbands are able to identify dreams and desires that will benefit our families. We pray that the Lord will step in and let them see that He can make all of their plans succeed.

Luke 14:28-30

"For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it, (29) lest, after he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish it, all who see it begin to mock him, saying 'This man began to build and was not able to finish'."

We pray that our husbands will sit down before making any decisions to count the cost to our family if they follow a path. We pray that all provisions will be given when the vision is given. We pray that the complete desire will be realized and be real to our husbands to assure them that Jesus does love them.

Isaiah 30:1

"Woe to the rebellious children, says the Lord, Who take counsel, but not of Me, and who devise plans, but not of My Spirit, that they may add to sin."

We pray that our husbands listen to the Lord and allow the Lord to send them to the people that can assist them. We pray that each transaction be Godly. We pray that each person that gives counsel to our husbands be “Father sent”.

Matthew 6:21

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

We pray that our husbands will have their families as their treasure and that they want to see their children provided for. Let their hearts first be to the will of the Lord and then to the building up of their family.

I Timothy 5:8

"But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."

Proverbs 13:22

"A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children, but a sinner's wealth is stored up for the righteous."

Matthew 10:16

"Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves."

We pray that our husbands have the wisdom to deal with the financial situations of today.

Proverbs 10:22

"The blessings of the Lord make one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it."

Proverbs 1:5

"A wise man will hear and increase in learning, and a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel."

Philippians 4:6-7

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

We pray that we each learn to pray and not worry about our financial situation. Lord, teach us to be thankful for all You have already done, hear our cries and then give us that peace that only you can give. Help us to guard not only our husband’s minds, but ours also.

Malachi 3:10

"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now in this, says the Lord of host, 'If I will not open for you the windows of heave, and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it."

We pray Lord that each of us would understand the importance of tithing. We pray that we will be wise enough for You to pour out the blessings we will not have room to receive. We no longer ask for you to fill our cup Lord, let them overflow. Overflow with love, peace, kindness, longsuffering and wealth. Wealth being whatever we need to do Your will.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Lord, forgive us for all of our sins. We seek to do Your will. Heal this land. Bless this nation and this world.
